Emory’s website was approximately a decade old and did not portray the brand as it is today or as they wanted to be seen in the future. As a result, we redesigned Emory.edu in order to align with its strategic goals and effectively communicate the Emory experience.
Emory Magazine is the university’s award-winning flagship publication. With a distribution of 130 thousand going out to alumni, friends and donors multiple times a year we wanted to ensure that the magazine was consistent with the overall communication goals of the university as well as for our office of Alumni Advancement office.
COVID-19 and Return to Campus
With the onset of COVID-19 Emory’s immediate goal was to make sure the community understood the many challenges posed by COVID-19. The Emory Forward site provided up to the minute updates, safety and health guidelines, and specific information for undergraduate, graduate, international students, faculty, staff and healthcare staff.
Emory's content strategy was designed to support an overall theme of Impact with Compassion. This “ingredient branding” is rooted in Emory’s Methodist heritage, evident in generations of alumni, and clearly present among our current students, faculty, researchers, and staff. We endeavor to support this theme with content that reflects one or more of these three message pillars.
The Emory Impact Report reflects the good work of the many people that make up the Emory community, and provides an overview of Emory’s impact across academics, research, health, the economy, Atlanta, the state, and the world.
Health Science Magazines
Emory University's Woodruff Health Sciences Center discovers new ways to prevent and treat disease, prepares the next generation to save and improve lives, provides the highest-quality clinical care possible, and serves the community. Made up of the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, and Winship Cancer Institute, Emory Woodruff Health Sciences communicates to a range of audiences including physicians, patients, researchers, faculty, staff, students, donors, friends and government agencies.
